Has Ethereum Reached Its Bottom?

Ethereum's recent price action suggests instability, with consecutive lower lows and insufficient bidding support around the $3.2K level.

Can Liquidity Drive a Breakout?

Despite record-high stablecoin reserves, market enthusiasm remains subdued, casting doubt on a potential breakout.

Ethereum's recent struggles are evident as it failed to maintain key support levels at $3.8K and $3.5K, dropping to $3.2K. This downward trend raises questions about whether the current price is truly a bottom.

Recurring Crashes Weaken Ethereum

Ethereum's market continues to face challenges following consecutive market downturns. Early November saw another sharp decline, triggering $2 billion in liquidations, reminiscent of October's $20 billion market disruption. The impact was clear as Ethereum fell 15% to $3.05K, maintaining a fragile market structure.

Looking back, Ethereum's price oscillated around $3.8K for weeks, unable to sustain a recovery to $4.3K. Presently, the $3.2K level remains vulnerable without further support, even as Ethereum's stablecoin reserves hit new highs.

Liquidity Inflows Fail to Bolster Ethereum

Despite increased liquidity, Ethereum's market response has been tepid. DeFi's Total Value Locked (TVL) has decreased by $20 billion, with funds either exiting or remaining inactive. Although stablecoin reserves are at a peak, market bids are sparse, and the structure remains fragile.

On the derivatives front, Ethereum's Open Interest has not experienced a significant reduction like the previous $15 billion drop, indicating less liquidation pressure but also insufficient bidding activity to trigger a rally.

Ethereum holders continue to face losses, with recent realized losses reaching $626 million, marking an eight-month low. The lack of market enthusiasm and fading conviction suggest Ethereum's $3.2K support remains at risk.
