Members of the cryptocurrency community have accused Nikita Bier, Head of Product at X and a Solana advisor, of intentionally suppressing crypto-related content on X. These allegations followed user reports of a decline in cryptocurrency posts in their feeds.

X has been a vital platform for the crypto community, enabling users to stay informed about industry news and emerging projects. Recently, however, users have voiced concerns about their feeds being dominated by non-crypto content.
"The algorithm is the worst it’s ever been," Ethan, a market observer, lamented, noting a shift in content.
In response, Bier clarified X’s recommendation system. He debunked a myth about needing numerous replies to grow reach, emphasizing that excessive low-value replies can diminish an account’s reach.
"CT is dying from suicide, not from the algorithm," Bier stated.
He also explained that quoting certain posts can affect feed recommendations for months, leading to backlash from the crypto community.
